More May-hem.

Evening Ladies,
I thought I would do another quick update with my recent make-up purchases that I have made over the last few weeks.
I had a very nice email sent from Debenhams to inform me that they were doing another 10% off on selected make-up. Not one to miss an opportunity..I had a little browse.
Guess what - I bought the Urban Decay Naked Palette! Better late than never right?

I know that all of you have seen this several times beforehand so I won't go on about it too much.

I just thought I would say that the colours are so versatile; I'm going on holiday in a few weeks with my friends to celebrate the end of my A Levels and this will certainly be accompanying me!One thing I will add though is that I have seen some older versions of the Naked Palette with an eyeliner rather than a eyeshadow brush which I would have probably preferred, mainly due to the fact that I've got a million eyeshadow brushes and I've always wanted to try the Urban Decay 24/7, Zero eyeliner!
But nevertheless, the Eyeliner is of top quality, and looks like it is perfect for packing on colour.

Another item of make-up that I have been desperate to have (but has now been discontinued for the current range) is the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks.
The packaging, as I am sure you will all agree is absolutely beautiful. But, I just couldn't justify spending £22 on a single lipstick.
I then stumbled across THIS website, which offer Make-up at discounted prices.
This lipstick was now discounted by £7!

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick - #2: Sensual Silk
£15.00
My boyfriend and I took a trip to Bicester Village yesterday.
I had a cheeky visit to the CCO, where I was lucky enough to stumble across two discounted MAC brushes.
I'm not 100% sure of the exact prices, but I think there was about £5 knocked off each brush.
 Mac 130
 Mac 129.
Finally, I also went to Jack Wills and bought a 'vintage' tin pencil case for £3!
♡ Jack Wills Wash Bag - £19.
Hope everyone has had a great weekend.
I've got my Business Unit 2 Retake tomorrow so an early night is on the cards for me.

Look What Happens When I Go To The Dentist...

Yesterday, I had my usual six month check up at the dentist.
Having arrived half an hour before my appointment, I decided to check out what make-up products were on offer in my local Boots and Super Drug.
Here's what I bought:
First I went into SuperDrug where I picked up the famous Gosh "Darling" Lipstick.
♡ Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick: Darling, #139
£6.49
It's such a bargain compared to MAC.
The texture of this lipstick is ideal, really nice and creamy in texture. Which is great as you don't have to apply so much Carmex beforehand.
I can't believe I haven't owned this before.

Next I needed a new everyday concealer, I've recently been using Mac's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and as much as I love it. I have noticed it has broken my skin out with a few spots.
♡ Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - Light, #2
£4.19

I needed a cheap foundation that I could use to wear as an everyday look to cover my blemishes,
I wore this out last night and it was amazing!
I literally just put the product on my fingers and directly applied it wherever I felt needed more coverage and then blended it using my ring finger.
Voila!
I then moved on too Boots.
I've collected a few pounds worth of advantage card points over the years so I used this to pay for all my purchases.
I've seen a lot of good reviews on the Umberto Giannini "Backcomb In A Bottle" hair product.
♡ Umberto Giannini "Backcomb In A Bottle"
£5.61
It claims to give you instant volume without the need of backcombing the life out of your roots.
I really like the packaging of this product, and the two lids are really useful.
I then checked out the Barry M stand.
I've been wanting the Barry M 101 Lipstick for ages, but whenever I go into boots they're either all open or sold out.
Yesterday however, there was one in stock, still sealed. Yay!
♡ Barry M - Marshmallow, #101
£4.49
It's a really pretty shade and I can't wait to try it out.
Unfortunately my lipstick had a line down the front. Grr!
As you can see when compared to Gosh - Darling, it's slightly pinkier.
I also picked up some standard large sectioning clips to style my hair.
(as shown in my first picture) I think these were around £3.00

I hope everyone has a great weekend :)

MAC May-hem!

Evening lovelies :)
As the title might suggest, I've decided to officially transfer to the Mac Side!
Okay, I'll admit it, I haven't exactly been a stranger to Mac - I am a huge fan of their lipsticks. But I've never been a 'regular'. I've somehow always found somewhere else to spend my mollah. After all, Mac isn't exactly renowned for their purse friendly prices!
After taking advantage of the Debenham's 10% off last week, I was so impressed with the products that I have chosen to invest more of my money in to this lovely company!
I went to Bournemouth this last weekend with my gorgeous boyfriend, and after mooching round the shops I couldn't resist popping into 'Beales' where they just so happened to have a Mac counter.
I was greeted by the ever so lovely Dionne who advised me on my 'Mac starter kit'.
She also performed a MAC makeover for me which I absolutely loved!
Be warned, this blog is very Photo heavy!

After removing my make-up Dionne advised me that I was a NW20, she also thought that the Studio Fix Fluid would be best for my skin type.
I was a little shocked that I had to pay extra for the pump! After spending the best part of twenty quid on the actual foundation, I was a bit disheartened to fork out an additional £2.50 on an applicator! Once I took my foundation home I was also quite annoyed that once the pump was on the foundation bottle the lid no longer fitted. SORT IT OUT MAC!

♡ Studio Fix Fluid : £19.50

I then talked through how I would normally do my make-up for an everyday look.
Dionne then showed me all the MAC equivalents. Which of course I loved!
After looking at both the fix powder and loose powder, I decided on the Mineralize Skin Finish Natural, and was matched to the 'Medium' shade.

♡ Mineralize Skin Finish Natural : £18.50

I also wanted a nice understated blusher that I could wear both during the day and at night.
I was so torn between 'Well Dressed' and 'Pinch O'Peach' but in the end I went for Pinch O'Peach.
I'll have to wait for next month's pay check for Well dressed!

♡ Powder Blush : £17.00

Finally, after reading about how many people raved about the MAC Paint Pots, I bought 'Soft Orche' in the hopes that my eyeshadow will stay in place and work to the best of their £12.50 price tag!

♡ Paint Pot : £13.50

On another note, for those of you interested in my products from Debenham's, I couldn't resist taking some more photographs of them!

♡ Mac 187 Brush

♡ Creme D'Nude Lipstick

♡ Duo Adhesive

♡  Woodwinked and All That Glitters

I've also noticed that the Mac Surf baby limited edition range has just launched. I have to say I am rather excited about this range.
I love the neutral tones that they're doing in this range and will definitely be investing in some more lippies!
I hope everyone had a great bank holiday weekend. Did any of you watch the Royal Wedding? Kate looked so beautiful.

I will of course be doing a review on these products and may even post a FOTD.
